From Touba to Baghdad, the Mourid disciple
 

Has drawn from the Sheik, amply

 

 

From the blessings of religious knowledge;

The Faith in the teachings of Imam Al-GHAZALI,

Of the Arab Sheikh "Bamba," of Sheikh Abd al-Qadir JILANNI,

And Almamy Omar Foutiyou TALL; a great devotion.

 

As well as from predecessors in Senegambia and French West Africa—pioneers of *Darras*

And of teachings—Quranic, theological, and doctrinal—

And socio-cultural; figures such as Mame Imam al-Mahdiyou, Seydina

Limamou Laye, or Sheikh Ahmed Tidjani Sy. An enduring legacy.

 

The Mouride religious tradition, within its Sunni observance,

Unites us: from Touba to Baghdad, we share a love

For Holy Medina and Mecca, for

Tea, coffee, and life within the city and the community.

On this 20th of Safar, 1448 AH, I reveal myself more deeply as a *Talibé*

Of Serigne Touba—Serigne MountakhaMBACKE ibn SERIGNE MOUHAMADOU BACHIR MBACKE (RTA)—

And of my parents, just as every Mouride disciple of the late Sheikh Ahmadou Cheikhoune Sheikh Salih Mbacke (RTA).

Confusion dispelled: World History as a subject of study and storytelling;

One might also call it a source of empirical knowledge, a faithful account,

Naturally passed down from our generation to those that follow,

Facts, occurrences, events, physical phenomena, collective consciousness and beliefs—devoid of interpretation—

It unites, strengthens, reassures, and inspires hope in the value of science serving Humanity.

Indeed, one observes that while the "delta"—or uncertainty—upends scientific theories and

Prompts caution in the so-called exact sciences and demands humility in the mastery of mathematics,

Oh, History holds the unique privilege of being human, scientific, ancient, and—above all—certain.

It does not hold the economy hostage; it stands objective in the face of armed conflicts, political strife, and the cataclysms of Mother Nature.

Confusion.

Confusion démise, l’Histoire du monde en tant que matière d’étude et de narration;

On peut aussi dire source de connaissances empiriques, récit fidèle,

Naturellement transmise de nos générations à celles nous succédant, elle, 

Faits, avènements, événements, phénomènes physiques, consciences et croyances populaire, sans interprétation 

Unifie, fortifie, rassures, et laisse espérer en la valeur de la science au service de l’Humanité.

Si vrai que l’on peut ainsi remarquer que là où le delta ou incertitude abolie les théories scientifiques et;

Induit à la prudence dans les sciensces dites exactes et force à l’humilité dans la maîtrise des mathématiques,

Oh, l’Histoire a son privilège d’être humaine, scientifique, antique, d’être Sûr.

Ne prenant pas en otage l’économie, objectif devant les conflits armés, politiques, et cataclysmes de Dame Nature.

Let us say that one who acts, perseveres, surpasses themselves, and distinguishes themselves in society by setting an example to follow.

It dictates its events, life through time, as generations perpetuate themselves and work together.

United in Battles, the rich, the poor, the sick, joyful, all in one. So, yes, He is One and has

Gathered us, then shaped us, and endowed us, the Merciful One, through our differences, our alliances, yesterday to

Today, tomorrow at dawn, and later, to do good as much as possible, with modesty.

My beautiful Malian woman from Dakar calls to me, reminds me of my friendships throughout

My intellectual upbringing - father - engineer - Civil. In all

Remain beautiful and natural, so that you may see the fruits of your labors, what you see in the present moment
